Sparky was given to me as a gift from my mother and my older brother. I was playing softball when my mom put him on the field and he ran to me. He got his name from the Ishpeming Fire Department. The firemen called out a few names, and Sparky was what he responded to. He is a big part of my life. We play fetch and go for walks every day. He especially loves to ride in the truck or be on the boat with me. His favorite activity is to jump off the dock and swim at camp. Sparky and I recently started agility training with Dr. Cannon. He loves people of all ages. He visits nursing homes and plays with my niece, Olivia, as well. In the winter we hook Sparky up to a sled and he pulls Olivia around like a sled dog. At Christmas we hide a meat stick under the tree, all wrapped up and Sparky will sniff it out and devour it. I can’t imagine my life without Sparky; he’s the best fit for my lifestyle.
